Weekly Community Giveaway: Official Rules

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

These are the official rules for the weekly GamerStation community giveaway (the “Sweepstakes”). By entering, you agree to be bound by these rules.

1) At a glance

• Prize: $25 USD, paid via Venmo or a Steam gift card of equivalent value at the winner's choice.
• How to enter: During the entry window, post one quality post on any GamerStation social board at gamerstation.gg/social AND link your Discord account on your profile page AND be a current member of the official GamerStation Discord server. All three are required.
• Entries per user: One entry per user per weekly drawing. Posting multiple times does not increase your odds.
• Resets every Friday: Each week is its own independent drawing. A post from last week does not carry over. To be eligible for next week's drawing, make at least one new quality post during that week's entry window.
• Entry window: Each weekly drawing covers qualifying activity from the previous Friday 12:01 PM Eastern Time through the following Friday 11:59 AM Eastern Time.
• Quality matters: Only quality posts count. Low-effort, spam, single-word, or copy-paste posts will be disqualified and do not earn an entry. See section 4 for the full definition.
• Drawing: One winner per week, drawn every Friday at 12:00 PM Eastern Time using random.org or equivalent randomization.
• Cost: Free. No purchase, no subscription, no payment required.

2) Who can enter

The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of any country where sweepstakes of this kind are permitted by law. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher.

Employees, contractors, and immediate family of GamerStation are not eligible. Residents of jurisdictions where this type of promotion is prohibited or restricted by law are not eligible. Void where prohibited.

3) How to enter

To be eligible for the weekly drawing you must complete all three of the following before the entry window closes. Doing only one or two of these does not qualify you for the drawing.

1. Create a free GamerStation account (or sign in to your existing one) at gamerstation.gg/sign-in.
2. Link your Discord to your GamerStation account by clicking “Link Discord” on your profile page and completing Discord's authorization. This proves the GamerStation account and Discord identity belong to the same person.
3. Join the official GamerStation Discord server and remain a member at the time of the weekly drawing.
4. Make at least one quality post on any GamerStation social board during the entry window (previous Friday 12:01 PM ET through the following Friday 11:59 AM ET).

Each qualifying user receives exactly one entry per weekly drawing, regardless of how many posts they make in the entry window. Multiple posts do not improve your odds.

Each weekly drawing is independent. A post from a previous week does not roll over. To be considered for next Friday's drawing, you must make at least one new quality post during that week's entry window.

4) What counts as a quality post

To keep the social boards useful for everyone, only quality posts qualify. A quality post is one that:

• Contains meaningful content (a question, an LFG request, an achievement share, a discussion prompt, a tune submission, etc.).
• Is written by the entrant and not copied from elsewhere.
• Follows the GamerStation Terms of Service.
• Is not spam, abuse, advertising, or a duplicate of another post.

Posts that consist of a single word, “test”, emoji-only content, low-effort one-liners, posts written by AI without substantive content of your own, or anything that appears to exist purely to qualify for the drawing will be disqualified. GamerStation has sole discretion to determine whether a post is a quality post. Disqualified posts do not count toward eligibility and do not earn an entry, even if the rest of your eligibility (Discord link, server membership) is in order.

If you are not sure whether a post counts, the rule of thumb is: would another player on this site reasonably want to read it, reply to it, or join up with you because of it? If yes, it counts. If you wrote it in five seconds purely to qualify, it doesn't.

5) How the winner is selected

After the entry window closes each Friday at 11:59 AM Eastern Time, GamerStation will compile the list of qualifying entrants from that week. A qualifying entrant is a GamerStation user who posted at least one quality post in the window, has linked Discord on their profile, and is a current member of the official GamerStation Discord server at the time of compilation.

One winner will be selected at 12:00 PM Eastern Time using random.org or equivalent randomization. The drawing is verifiably random and unbiased.

The winner will be notified via Discord direct message from the GamerStation account within 24 hours of the drawing. Since being a current member of the GamerStation Discord server is a requirement to enter, every qualifying entrant is already reachable that way, which keeps the payout process simple. The DM will ask for the winner's preferred payout method (Venmo handle or email for a Steam gift card) and nothing else beyond what is needed to deliver the Prize.

If the winner does not respond to the Discord DM within 48 hours, or if the winner is unable to accept the prize for any reason, an alternate winner will be drawn from the remaining qualifying entries. The 48-hour window is intentionally short to keep weekly drawings on a consistent cadence, so make sure your Discord direct messages are open and that you check them in the days following the drawing.

6) Prize details

The prize for each weekly drawing is $25 USD (the “Prize”), paid via the winner's choice of:

• Venmo transfer to a verified Venmo account
• Steam gift card of equivalent value sent via email

The Prize will be delivered within 14 days of the winner confirming their preferred payment method. The Prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for any alternative form of payment outside of the two options listed.

The winner is solely responsible for any taxes or fees that may arise from receiving the Prize. GamerStation will not issue tax documentation unless required by law (the $25 weekly prize is below the IRS reporting threshold of $600).

7) When this runs

A normal weekly cycle:

• Entry window opens: Friday 12:01 PM Eastern Time
• Entry window closes: the following Friday 11:59 AM Eastern Time
• Drawing held: Friday 12:00 PM Eastern Time
• Winner notified: within 24 hours of drawing

How to tell if a drawing is happening that week

The official, definitive way to know whether any given Friday's drawing is happening is the Monday confirmation posts on our two channels:

• Twitter: @gamerstation_gg
• Discord: the official GamerStation server

Each Monday by end of day Eastern Time, a post will go up on both channels stating whether that week's Friday drawing is on. If you see that post, the drawing is happening as planned. If you do not see a Monday post on either channel, the drawing for that week is paused and your entries roll into the next active drawing.

Checking those two channels each Monday is the most reliable way to confirm. We do not send personal notifications about week status, and announcements anywhere else (third-party sites, screenshots, secondhand reports) should not be treated as authoritative.

Why a week might be skipped

We do our best to run the Giveaway every Friday, but life happens. Holidays, travel, illness, server outages, or other unexpected things may mean a given week gets skipped, or a drawing gets pushed back by a day or two. When that happens we will say so in the Monday post on Twitter and Discord, and the Giveaway will resume on its normal schedule the following week. No entries are lost when a week is skipped because eligibility is checked fresh against the next drawing.

GamerStation reserves the right to pause, extend, or end the Sweepstakes at any time. Notice of any structural change (prize amount, eligibility rules, drawing schedule) will be posted on this page before it takes effect.

8) Privacy

GamerStation will only use the information you provide for the purpose of running this Sweepstakes (notifying the winner, delivering the Prize, complying with applicable law). We do not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

When you link your Discord account, we store only your Discord username and Discord user ID through Clerk (our authentication provider). We do not access your Discord messages, friends, servers, or any other Discord data beyond what is necessary to verify your identity and current membership in the GamerStation Discord server.

9) Publicity

By accepting the Prize, the winner consents to GamerStation publicly acknowledging them as the weekly winner (display name only, no real name, address, or payment details ever shared). The acknowledgment may appear in our Discord, on the social boards, or in similar public-facing community channels.

10) Disputes

All decisions made by GamerStation in administering this Sweepstakes, including but not limited to determining quality posts, eligibility, and the winning entry, are final and binding. These rules are governed by the laws of the United States. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled in the appropriate state or federal court covering GamerStation's principal place of business.

11) Sponsor

This Sweepstakes is sponsored and operated by GamerStation (support@gamerstation.gg). GamerStation is the sole sponsor. No other party (game publisher, platform, payment processor, etc.) is affiliated with or sponsoring this Sweepstakes.

Trademarks for any games mentioned on GamerStation belong to their respective owners and those owners are not affiliated with or endorsing this Sweepstakes in any way. Discord is a trademark of Discord Inc., which is not affiliated with or endorsing this Sweepstakes.
