Mythic+ Scaling Calculator

Pick a keystone level and see exactly how much enemy health and damage scale compared to a baseline +2. Useful for vault planning, deciding whether to push a level or farm the safer one, and calibrating gear expectations before a key.

Inputs

Uses a simple ~10% per keystone level scaling model as a Blizzard-style approximation for quick comparisons.

Range: +2 to +30

Shows how much harder your selected key is than the comparison key.

Enemy multipliers:
Healthx2.14
Damagex2.14
+10

How Mythic+ scaling actually works

Every keystone level above the baseline adds roughly 10% more enemy health and damage. By the time you're pushing a +20, the trash and bosses inside have nearly double the HP of the same dungeon at +2, and they hit nearly twice as hard. The math compounds: a +15 isn't "a little harder" than a +10, it's a 60-ish percent jump in raw numbers on both sides.

That's why a healer who comfortably keeps a group alive at +14 can suddenly feel like they're drowning at +18. Damage going out went up 40-ish percent. Same for DPS thresholds: the soft caps where bosses outpace your group's damage and force a berserk get harder to clear each level.

The calculator above takes the guesswork out. Plug your target key, see the multiplier vs whatever floor you compare against, and use it for vault math (do you need this week's timed +12 to upgrade your vault slot, or will the +9 you already cleared do the job).

When this tool helps most

  • Vault planning Tuesday morning. You see the upgrade thresholds and want to know whether to push one more level or farm what's safe. The multiplier tells you whether the next step is brutal or just slightly harder.
  • DPS sanity check before a key. Your group cleared a +16 with 30 seconds to spare. A +18 is roughly 21% more enemy HP. Do you have 21% more burst available between cooldowns, or are you about to deplete on a tight boss?
  • Healer pre-flight check. Trash hits and avoidable damage scale at the same rate. If you're tight on mana at the current level, the next one is going to feel materially worse, not marginally.
  • Comparing across seasons. Helps when you're recalibrating after a season reset or affix rotation. The base multiplier doesn't change but your gear and talents do; the math gives you a fixed frame of reference.

Limitations to know about

The 10% per level number is the long-running Blizzard approximation. Real scaling has small variances by patch, by enemy type (boss health scales the same as trash but boss damage profiles vary), and by affixes that add layered mechanics on top of the raw numbers. Treat the multiplier as a sharp baseline, not an exact damage prediction. Affixes like Tyrannical, Fortified, or seasonal adds stack their own modifiers on top.

Approximation only. Specific affix effects, talent choices, and patch tuning can shift real numbers a few percent in either direction.
